This beautifully professionally restored quartersawn oak pool table is from the early 1900s. It is 4.5′ x 9′ with the original nameplate. The slate is 57 x 107 x 1 and the cloth is dark green. The pockets are antique brown with complementary fringe. The accessories include a short Cheyenne cue rack with four 2-piece cues in assorted weights, a bridge stick, a wooden triangle, a nine ball rack, box spruce chalk and BCA rule book. It also has a table cover and has been covered the majority of time. The “Pfister” was part of a family of tables produced by alke-C. Llender distinctive for their serpentine leg and ogee curve cabinets. The “Pfister” retained the Victorian love for detail and embellishment with its carving. This table represented the highest quality of construction, with a massively heavy cabinet, and quarter-panel construction double-bolted at all eight joints. The design was very innovative and a clear break from the Victorian style in that the legs went all the way up and were integrated into the cabinet. These serpentine leg tables are among the most sculptural of antique pool tables, managing to be massive, powerful and graceful at the same time. This pool table is located in McMinnville, Oregon.
