The Brunswick Anniversary model was first produced in 1945 for the 100th anniversary of the Brunswick Company. It became so popular for pool halls, fraternal lodges and private homes that the company continued to make this Art Deco model for the next 15 years up until 1960. There are several versions of this table out there because Brunswick tried to make changes to improve upon the earliest models or to lessen the cost, in some cases. This is an 8 foot Brunswick table called the’Popular’. The primary wood veneer is burl ash or burl elm. Has inlays of rosewood and the rails are rosewood with real ivory rail sights. Table was made in the 1880’s and all the parts are original except the pockets are reproductions. This table has been restored but it isn’t perfect. You have to look really close to notice but some of the veneer that was missing was filled it and sanded smooth and stained and finished to match. It is preferred to actually replace the veneer with veneer but in this case that was not done. Only shows in a couple of places and even then it is hard to notice. I just felt the need to disclose that. This table features very fancy skirts on the lower part of the table and these are almost always missing on tables from this era. Rails are absolutely perfect as are the slates and pockets. I have quite a few tables listed and quite a few other tables that are waiting to be restored. Lots of good choices and price ranges.
