Antique Bereuter Pool Table C. 1880 NYC
Antique table built by Bereuter in NYC – late 1800s or early 1900s. Acquired in high end house in 2014. Per engraving on the wood rail Bereuters shop was at 74 3rd Ave in NYC. Further research found he applied for a patent to use a pool table as furniture in the 1800s pointing to this table to be late 1800s or early 1900s. Outer: 92 x 411. Nice as it is with a patina of bumps and bruises although the felt looks to be in good condition- i believe it was resurfaced in last 5-8 years. Also a good candidate for a restoration.
