This is a nice, restored version of he finest Brunswick production table ever made. The Kling was made in the 1910 to 1920 era and was produced in various versions. The very best were made with the now extinct Russian circassian walnut veneer. Also inlaid with holly, ebony and mother of pearl all around the cabinet and on the extensions coming out from under the rails. The rails are rosewood veneer with real ivory rail sights. Table was named the Kling by the Brunswick corporation because of their admiration for Johnny Kling, former baseball hero with the Cubs and world billiards champion. Johnny Kling owned a famous pool hall in St Louis called’Kling and Allen’s’ and Kling himself lived until about 1948. This table has just a stately look about it and it plays wonderfully. Owning one of these is like owning a cadillac. This table has 1 slate and it is pretty much ready to go. Needs just a little shop time and can be delivered by end of November or so. I do it frequently. These don’t come along that often and this one is a lot easier to manage with 1 slate. Probably my last Kling before I retire next Summer. Port City Antiques of Duluth. For Sale Vintage1950s Brunswick Pool Table. Original one owner 1950s Pool table in fantastic condition recently refelted and edges refinished. This is the smallest regulation table, table measures 86″ x 47″ outer most dimensions and stands 30 3/4 tall. Perfect for home use. The bed is made of a proprietary material for Brunswick at that time (not slate) no warping or twisting perfect condition. Table was advertised as portable but let’s say movable is a better word.
