The Boys and I are fourth and fifth generation marble and stone fabricators. Our latest model, the “Dragon”, is an 8-foot onyx pool table with tasseled black leather #6 pockets, 3-peice Brazilian slate, a gloss-black trapezoid base, matching onyx 8 and 9-ball racks, an onyx cue stand for eight, k-66 bumpers and a red felt covering. Though we can dress it in any color at no additional cost. The onyx is a translucent, semi-precious stone from a small quarry in Pakistan- which could already be depleted. In person you can see deeply into the highly polished solid surface. No varnish or plastic coating was used. You can put-out a lit cigar on the stone and wipe it clean with a soft cloth. The table goes together conventionally -except for the rails weighing about 25-pounds each. Weight right where you want it for banking. And the base weighs about 130-pounds. The heaviest part is the 410-pound 3-pc. We estimate the entire table weighs less than 700-pounds. The Boys call it “Bling for the house”.
