Billiards Tables

It was painted red and we had it professionally restored at that time. Circa 1880-90 and it’s a four-slate, and approximately 9′ x 5′ (109″ x 58.5″) and about 33 tall. Stunning table and in great condition. We are downsizing our collections and this is a great opportunity for you. Here’s what Classic Billiards offered as their opinion. The table was produced by W H Griffith, late1870’s/early 1880’s and is birdseye maple (best I can tell by photos) with maple bamboo trim. Table is in nice condition, appears the legs have had blocks added at bottom. They’ve been through all of the Brunswick Balke Collender catalog archives, all the way from the 1860s up through the 1920s and couldn’t find this style. They did to many custom tables, and this could be one. There is a good chance that it is a WM. Are listed as “pool table makers” in various directories. They hold a patent in billiard table construction dated 1872. We can see the company name in directories dated 1881, 1886, 1890 – and that’s just from a quick google search.
