The finest table produced by Brunswick in the 20th century. That is what most billiard guys will tell you when asked that question. Still very desirable after more than 100 years. This is a 4 legged version with the extremely rare circassion walnut veneer that no longer grows anywhere on the planet. Originally from the Georgia region of Siberia it takes hundreds of years for a tree to grow to a size where it can be harvested for veneer in expensive furniture. It is all gone. Offering at a great loss because he doesn’t care. Table won’t be available until mid May or so when he moves. Putting it out there for very modest price and might have to bring it into the shop for a little tlc before going to new home. I restored this table and installed it myself so I know it very well. This is a beautiful, original antique Brunswick KLING 4 legged Balke Pool Table. This table was in an estate in Santa Barbara CA. Bought by a friend some 25+ years ago. I bought it from him some 15+ years ago. The table has not been restored. I have mixed feelings about restoring it. It’s not in bad shape, but there is wear and tear. The felt is new. The cushions have been replaced several years ago and are in great shape. The pocket / irons have also been replaced. I have the original set. It is the six legged 5ft. Mahogany model, with the optional 1.5 thick slate. It is in poor to fair condition, in need of refinishing and veneer repair. I believe it is complete with the unfortunate exception of the side pieces that go directly below the rosewood top rails. I have never attempted assembly, so while I do have a tote with eight large bolts and a few other misc. Smaller ones, Im not positive if they are all there. It also came with a felt that is included, but I dont know what the condition of it is. And, realistically, I just dont have the time to restore it. Please let me know if you have any questions! Up for sale is my fully restored Antique Brunswick 9 foot Six-Legged KLING pool table. The Brunswick’KLING’ model pool table is widely considered the very finest table produced in the 20th century. Made in the period between 1912 and 1924 the table was named for a major league baseball player, Johnny Kling. This magnificent design marks a new era in the highest class of billiard table construction and ornamentation. It carries a suggestion of the classic Greek and ancient. This is a SIX LEG table with 1 ½ slate, not to be confused with the less expensive 4 leg 1 slate versions. It weighs almost 3000 pounds. The frame is solid wood and bolted together with mortise and tenon joints with high quality veneer over the solid wood. The table and veneer was restored by Golden West to the highest standards. The pockets feature a red pocket liner. This was used in the old pool halls of the 1920s to help players see the pocket in the low light typical of the era. It has three pieces of 1 ½ thick slate.
