Beautiful vintage Brunswick Orleans pool table. It is a professional oversized 8′. This table is solid Brazilian Mahogany with full 1 slate bed. None of the current manufacturers produce a table of this quality today. The entire table was meticulously restored a few years ago with new Simonis cloth, rails, and new leather pockets. In addition all of the mahogany carvings were hand finished to create a very custom finish above and beyond the original table. It comes with all the accessories shown: 5 very good cues, 2 sets of balls, 8-ball and 9-ball rack, brush and other items. This is a full 9ft table to great shape. The table is just too large for our living space as our family continues to grow. The pockets need to be replaced. One of our standard grade tables of strictly good quality in construction and finish. Manufactured under eighteen construction patents awarded from 1892 to 1905. Available as Carom, pool or combination. This is essentially a conventional design that has that has that predominant feature of plain surface work which characterizes all of our higher grade tables. We avoid dust catching and cheap ornamental work, as our tables are built to last a lifetime, and they do it. The Algeria is furnished only in golden oak, quarter-sawed and highly polished. The slate bed is best quality Vermont one inch thick, the sections being joined with brass dowels and sockets, entirely eliminating screw holes in the slate bed–the method used in tables by other manufacture. The cushions are the celebrated quick acting Monarch, guaranteed the most perfect angle cushion in the world. Used by all professional players in America and Europe. The cushion rails are of extra heavy construction and firmly bolted to the slate bed. The cushion rail tops are veneered with rosewood, which does not change color, cannot be easily disfigured and does not have the objectionable features of a polished surface. This table is a 1923 Brunswick Balke Collender and it is the “Wilmington” model with a ball return. It is a 8ft table and , except for the felt color, it meets all of the WPA tournament specs. It has a 3 piece slate that is 1 thick. This table is 93 years old but plays like a new table. If you are looking for an antique table that plays like a new table then this is it. Construction: Rigid sectional framed construction faced with mahogany veneer of sound quality, hand rubbed to a dull finish. Sides are of built-up construction and veneered. Top molding with a dimension of 4 x 1 3/4 is solidly constructed from scientifically kiln-dried lumber, securely screwed and glued to top of the sides. Legs are of a square style construction with the parts solidly glued together, and reinforced with glue blocks at each corner. Unit rigidity is assured by means of single cross stretchers. The design is perfectly plain, without inlay or other ornamentation, yet the table is built according to the most rigid Brunswick standards of excellent materials and superior workmanship. Slate Bed: Consists of three pieces of the best quality slate of regulation 1 thickness, with all joints rigidly secured by brass dowels and sockets. Playing surface is entirely free from screw holes. If desired, slate bed of 1 1/2 thickness can be furnished Cushion Rails: The cushion rails of the Wilmington table are made up of a 3-ply body, consisting of three layers of woods of alternating grain glued together to insure the rails against climatic changes. The center layer of these plies, through which the cushion bolts are placed, is hard maple. Maple is used for this purpose because it holds the cushion bolts firmly in place. The tops of the rails are constructed of solid American Walnut. The rails are securely fastened to the table with invisible cushion bolts. These bolts are covered with blind cushion rail facing built up of 5-ply compound construction faced with a high grade of Mahogany veneer. Cushions: The Wilmington table can be equipped with any style Monarch perfect angle cushion. Pocket Irons: The pocket irons are No. 6 style, countersunk in the ends of the cushion rails by means of brass sockets.
