The flagship table of the Brunswick Corporation that started it all in 1845. The MONARCH is the finest production model ever produced by Brunswick. The company merged several times in the 1800’s to become Brunswick-Balke-Collender and eventually in about 1940 they shortened the name of the company to “BRUNSWICK”. This table is the best of the best when it comes to pool tables. The primary background veneer is the extremely rare Ebony with inlays of Tulip wood, Rock Maple and Brazilian Rosewood with the rails being Rosewood veneer with real ivory diamonds. The ivory is from the 1800’s. The table was produced for many years throughout the late 1800’s and this particular version is believed to be from about 1875. It is an 8 foot version with 4 piece slate 1 thick. The legs are cast iron lion heads held together by a center cone that also serves as a leveler. The restoration involves sandblasting the iron down to the base, priming and painting black, then carefully gold leafing the highlights of the mane and the decorative features on the sides of the lions. The table in veneered and all original with only a couple of small repair areas needing to be addressed during the restoration. All the metal hardware is also original but the leather for the pockets is new and the iron pocket ears have been re-plated in nickle. In the photos you might notice picture number 2 being a little different. This table takes a backseat to no other table I have ever owned. Is negotiable as with any sale. Catalog #2772, page 8: Absolute perfection in the manufacture of billiard and pool tables has been attained in the production of our Pfister style of tables with six legs. In many essential features the improvements embodied in this table are very marked and add considerably to the enjoyment of this, the greatest of all indoor games or amusements. In the construction of these tables nothing is left undone that could possibly be of any benefit in producing a perfect billiard table. They are, when so ordered, fitted with extra heavy slate, 1 1/2 thick, doweled. This does away with the screw holes on the surface of the bed such as is found in the case of tables fitted with slates not doweled. The frame work or body of the table is made extra heavy and strong, as are also the cushion rails. Additional bolts in the rails aid in keeping them firm and rigid. These improvements, in conjunction with the six legs with which the tables are fitted, combine in producing an exceptionally solid and substantial billiard table. Players obtain better results on tables of this construction than those of ordinary make. The outfit we furnish with these tables, such as cushions, cloth, balls, cues, etc. Is naturally the very best the markets of the world afford. THEN THE RUBBER AROUND THE POCKETS WAS CAREFULLY AND PRECISELY RESHAPED TO MATCH AN EXACT TEMPLATE OF AN OLHAUSEN TABLE TO A 1 AND 7/8TH OF A SNOOKER BALL SIZE SO AS TO ACCEPT SHOTS NICELY. THERE ARE 2 LIKE NEW BOLTS OF CLOTH, 1 TRADITIONAL WITH NAP, THE OTHER IS 760 SIMONIS. ALSO INCLUDED IS A SET OF MID-QUALITY SNOOKER BALLS AND A BRASS/MAHOGANY WOOD SCORE KEEPER. THE OLD PAINT WAS SANDED OFF AND RE STAINED, THERE ARE OLD CIGARETTE BURNS STILL VISIBLE THRU THE STAIN WHICH GIVES THE TABLE ITS OLD POOL HALL CHARACTER LOOK. THE SKIRT WAS CRACKED AND REPLACED WITH A PIECE OF PINE. THE SLATES ARE IN GOOD CONDITION EXCEPT FOR 2 TRIANGULAR PIECES THAT ARE CHIPPED FROM THE EDGE UNDER THE RAILS WHERE THERE IS NO EFFECT ON PLAY. DYNAMO COMMERCIAL COIN OPERATED 7 FOOT POOL TABLE PROJECT. This is a solid Dynamo 7 foot coin operated pool table. This is a commercial coin operated unit that works great and is ready to go to work for you on a location or for your home game room. The table does have some normal wear and tear on it. The good news is that this table features a 1 piece slate so you can re-felt it with little trouble compared to a residential home table. The table is complete and works great with the exception of the coin door. I have removed the felt, cleaned out the inside of the table, and the table is ready for new felt. The rails are in average to good condition and on a scale of 1-10 I would give all of them about a 7-8. This table operates with a over-sized weighted cue ball. Some of these tables use a magnetic cue ball however this model requires an over-sized one. Measurements for this table is 53.5 inches wide, 93 inches long, and 32 inches tall with the legs attached. With the legs removed it is 18 inches tall. The legs are removable and bolt on to the bottom of the table. Each leg has its own leveler. Contact me for details.
