Rare 1945 Brunswick Centennial Pool Table. Originally set up and owned by a New York City Italian Mens Club. Donald Deskey, in his diverse career, designed famous projects such as The Radio City Music Hall, Tide Soap Logo, Crest tooth paste Logo, etc. In the 1940’s the Brunswick Company commissioned him to design this table celebrating the 100th year anniversary of the company’s founding. This table was produced in 1945, Brunswick’s 100th year, and is named “The Centennial”. Solid Rosewood Rails and Trim of Extruded Aluminum. Trim has been high polished and automobile clear coated. Corner Castings have Chromed. Original hard rubber pockets have replaced with custom fitted leather. The felt is Simonis Light Tan and the color can be changed to any liking. The history of its New York Italian heritage makes it very unique. This Art Deco Table is one of the most sought after pool tables by collectors world wide. All parts have the original matching serial numbers stamped on them. Brunswick is currently the oldest corporation in the United States and continues to manufacture the most desirable pool tables in the world, but not these former limited production models. Up for sale is my fully restored Antique Brunswick 9 foot Six-Legged KLING pool table. The Brunswick’KLING’ model pool table is widely considered the very finest table produced in the 20th century. Made in the period between 1912 and 1924 the table was named for a major league baseball player, Johnny Kling. This magnificent design marks a new era in the highest class of billiard table construction and ornamentation. It carries a suggestion of the classic Greek and ancient. This is a SIX LEG table with 1 ½ slate, not to be confused with the less expensive 4 leg 1 slate versions. It weighs almost 3000 pounds. The frame is solid wood and bolted together with mortise and tenon joints with high quality veneer over the solid wood. The table and veneer was restored by Golden West to the highest standards. The pockets feature a red pocket liner. This was used in the old pool halls of the 1920s to help players see the pocket in the low light typical of the era. It has three pieces of 1 ½ thick slate. INCLUDED IN THE SALE. Wall mounted 5 Pool Cue Rack. Sardo Rack (the best used by all the pros). Set of Brunswick TV pool balls colors are different for enhanced TV viewing. I will help with disassembly, but it will require a professional pool table crew to load the 3 pieces of slate into the crates. I have the crates for the slate. Balance is due within 7 days.
