9′ BBC Alexandria Pool Table Antique Circa 1909
The Alexandria was a landmark design for the Brunswick-Balke-Collender Company (BBC). It appeared as the first of a series of Art Deco tables that included the Kling, Arcade, and Hudson. The Alexandria, therefore, was a bridge between the Arts and Craft ad Art Deco models that BBC produced for the next three decades. The primary veneer is book-matched Circausian Walnut with the inlays of Celluloid, Ebony and Mother-of-Pearl. The Rail Caps are Brazilian Rosewood with Mother-of-Pearl sights.
