Specifications for Centennial Tables. Legs: Two oval-shaped laminated legs with tapered ends, fitted with 6 3/4 high aluminum basing attached to bottom. Aprons: Aprons of extruded aluminum with grooved and fluted contour to match contour of corner castings and flow into rounded edge of rails. Aprons securely fastened to rail and sturdily braced to base frame. Roomy ball rack in foot end apron of gully and pocket tables has four compartments holding five balls each. Finish: All exposed wood surfaces except playing rails are finished in rosewood. Playing rails are finished with a special rosewood burn-resistant finish. All concealed wood surfaces are treated with a moisture repellent. All exposed aluminum surfaces are anodized, have a mar-resistant, satin aluminum color finish. Style: Centennial Billiard tables come in the following sizes: 4×8′, 4 1/2 x 9′ and 5×10′ gulley. 4×8′, 4 1/2 x 9′ pocket tables. 4×8′, 4 1/2 x 9′ and 5 x 10′ carom. And, 4 1/2 x 9′ and 5 x 10′ snooker. Base Frame: The massive base frame is constructed of hardwoods consisting of two side rails, two end rails, and two cross stretchers. Two end rails, longitudinal stretchers and horizontal cross members giving positive support to slate bed. The entire top surface is carefully leveled to receive slate. Slate: A matched set of slate consisting of three pieces on inch thick, each piece backed up by a wood frame, is mounted on top of base frame. The slate joints are kept in perfect alignment by means of metal dowels and ferrules. Slate is accurately drilled for rail bolts. Slate is fastened to slate frame by concealed screws. The bottom of slate frame is planed and the top surface precision ground to obtain a level surface. Rails: 1 3/4″ thick by 4 1/2″ wide in the exposed surfaces of select cabinet woods, rosewood faced. Fitted with the latest improved Brunswick cushions, containing live rubber, cemented to rail edge and covered with cushion cloth. Individual rails can be removed quickly without dismantling aprons. Rails have large rounded contours. Mother of pearl sights. Rail Castings: Aluminum castings with natural finish at each pocket opening. Castings have a smooth, rounded contour and are moulded to receive pockets. Aluminum castings with natural finish at each corner. The Centennial corner casting is grooved and fluted to match apron. Pocket and Pad: A one piece molded canvas-backed semi-hard rubber composition pocket and pad is provided for pocket openings. Playing equipment: Fine quality cushion cloth is attached to rails. A wide selection of standard and deluxe playing equipment is optional with each table at catalog prices. Four features of new rail construction. Rail bolts fasten directly through the slate into bottom of the rail, eliminating any vibration and increasing accuracy with perfect angles. Rail bolts are handy to get at–can be easily tightened by the operator at any time. It is not necessary to remove aprons to tighten bolts. Cushion cloth is easier to attach at recovering time with new type of rail construction. Each rail can be removed without dismantling aprons. The new type of construction removes the danger of breaking expensive slate when fastening rails to the table.
