ANTIQUE BRUNSWICK BALKE COLLENDER 8′ PRO POOL TABLE CIRCA 1920’s WORSTED CLOTH
The mahogany top of the rails are rough in spots but ok. I installed aftermarket pockets with net ball catchers. The table plays very well but would play fantastic with Brunswick Super-Speed rubber. The rails aren’t bad, just not fast. The sub-rails have been extended tightening the pockets. With some slight variations the corner pockets measure 4.25. The frame is SOLID (please see underside pic) The slate is good. (I literally threw away a similar table because the slate was badly banded with soft, clay-like stripes that I could literally scrape-off with my fingernail). I really tried hard plastering it but then realized that I don’t have enough life left to screw with it… This table however is a keeper.. I used bondo between the seams not wax. It’s currently level enough to play one-pocket. It’s approximately 100 years old and 8′ “Pro” size or 8′ oversize. The table is located in North Port, Florida not far off of I-75.
