This listing is for a 9 foot by 4 1/2 foot pool table manufactured by the Adler Co. Of Los Angeles in 1981. Adler has been building pool tables since the early 1960s. They have their own designs, but they are probably better known for recreating/reproducing earlier, classic tables. Their reproductions of Brunswick Monarchs are especially impressive. This table is also based on a Brunswick design from (I believe) the 1920s, which was called Brilliant Novelty. The lines as well as the inlaid wood patterns have an art deco look which is clean but not sterile or faux moderne. With the exception of a return to the Adler co. Twelve years ago when it was re-felted and the leather pockets were all replaced, it has been sitting in the room you see in these photos for the past 36 years. The owners took very good care of it. There are no problems whatsoever with the slate or the cushions, and it is really a nice table to play on. If you’re only used to 8 foot tables that have been abused you might find this one a bit fast and unforgiving. But if you like playing, you’ll find it a lot easier to spend three or four hours with this table, and all aspects of your game should improve. Accessories: The table comes with twelve one-piece cues ranging in weight from 15 to 21 ounces. Six of the cues are quite old, the other six were added twelve years ago. For house-cues they are above average. There’s a standard set of 15 balls and there are two cue balls. None of them are chipped or damaged, but they are old, and some of them are downright ugly. There are two wall-mounting cue racks, each holding half a dozen cues, a bridge stick as seen hanging below the table in pic. 1, a wooden triangle, a string of wooden beads for scoring straight pool, a natural bristle brush. Do not hesitate to send us what you think to be a reasonable offer. We will not sell to anyone who claims they can move it myself. Competent movers completely disassemble the table, even the slate (three pieces), secure and pack the slate, then re-assemble and level the table at its destination. Everything else is negotiable.
