Brunswick Gold Crown pool table, 4 1/2 by 9 with ball return and counters
This is a early Brunswick Gold Crown 4 1/4′ by 9′ pool table that was never in a pool room. The early Gold Crowns (versions one and two were the best built). Later versions weren’t as well constructed and eventually made in Japan. It was recovered once 20 years ago and as you can see there is virtually no wear. The earlier Gold Crowns had the best long lasting rubber in their cushions. This table plays like brand new. It has been in the same place for well over 40 years in a heated basement and in a non-smoking environment. It has the more expensive ball return and scoring counters built into the foot rail. THIS TABLE DOES NOT NEED TO BE RECOVERED EITHER THE BED OR THE CUSHIONS, WHICH IS THE USUAL CASE.
